At the heart of our work is a commitment to access and inclusion for all people with disability. We believe access is a fundamental human right, and inclusion is essential to a fair and just society. This means removing barriers — physical, attitudinal, systemic, and digital — and ensuring people with disability can participate fully in all areas of life.

Our Disability Action Plan

Ensuring access and inclusion for all

The Julia Farr group (of which JFA Purple Orange is a part) is developing its Disability Action Plan to ensure that our organisation is accessible and inclusive for all people. Our Disability Action Plan focuses on four areas including:

    • Physical accessibility

    • Informational accessibility

    • Procedural accessibility

    • Attitudinal accessibility

While this will be our first Disability Action Plan, these are not the first steps we have taken on our inclusion journey. JFA Purple Orange has worked on various projects, and has researched and written submissions on topics including inclusive education, employment, housing, health and transport. We have listened to people with disability and learned from their experiences. We have created changes and resources from what we have learned, and we will continue to do so. You can find these resources and more in our Library.
