A person with short, curly dark hair smiles while standing outdoors in bright natural light. They are wearing glasses, red cherry-shaped earrings, a red top, and a black jacket with a white grid pattern. The background is blurred greenery.

Elizabeth Farrant

Team Manager

I work mostly in projects and research, helping my colleagues when needed and leading projects from start to finish. I have special interests in the support work sector, accessible arts and public spaces, combating social isolation and working with universities on research. As a member the organisation’s Disability Action Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan committees, I am particularly proud of the work we are doing and the future improvements we plan to make.

Outside of work I do a lot of gardening, volunteer at Belair National Park and spend time with my very tall greyhound, Doc.

Tessa Deak

Regional Lead

As a person with disability living in Mount Gambier, I’m deeply passionate about the work we do and proud to focus on the regional pillar at JFA Purple Orange. I work across two projects – SKILL SA and the Regional Employment Project (REP). Through SKILL SA, I support our regional peer networks, and in REP, I work with employers in and around Mount Gambier/Berrin to strengthen their inclusive practices and create more supportive workplaces.

Outside of work, I’m a creative at heart. I love painting, writing, and baking – especially choc-chip peanut butter cookies.
