Creating change in schools, led by young people with disability
The Inclusive School Communities (ISC) project partnered with 15 South Australian schools to make learning environments more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
At the heart of the project were our Inclusive School Mentors — young people with disability who worked alongside school communities to identify barriers and create change.
Over two years (2018–2020), the project delivered a range of activities and resources that led to real, tangible improvements in each school.
One key outcome was the Inclusive School Practices Toolkit — a practical set of resources for school leaders, educators, students, and families, covering a wide range of topics on disability, diversity, and inclusion.
You can explore these resources and learn more about the project by visiting the Inclusive School Communities website.
