Our Work
We are working to create a world where people who live with disability get a fair go in life.
Most of our work can be divided into three areas.
We Inform
We Connect
We Influence
We Inform
No one is more qualified to speak about how society could be more supportive and inclusive of people who live with disability than the people who live it. That's why first and foremost we are committed to listening to and learning from people who live with disability and their families.
We then amplify their voices by using what they tell us to inform government, businesses, educational institutions and other organisations how they can be more inclusive and supportive of people who live with disability.
We do this through research, publications, consultations, evaluations and training.
We also strive to keep people who live with disability informed about how to best navigate the current systems and get the support they need to live a good life. We do this through events, information sessions and publications.
We Connect
We seek out, support and promote opportunities for people living with disability and their family and friends to connect, share experiences and learn from each other.
We do this through peer support groups, as well as organising and hosting events that bring people together.
We Influence
We conduct research and develop policy that we hope governments and communities will use to help improve the life chances for people living with disability.
We publish and share our research and policy work so that their impact can continue.
We also try to create a more inclusive and supportive world through campaigns and projects aimed at raising community awareness.
