Why inclusive education matters
Inclusive education is about every child being welcomed, supported, and able to learn alongside their peers. Schools play a vital role in shaping what inclusion looks like in the wider community.
When children with and without disability learn together, it builds understanding and breaks down barriers. Those children grow up knowing that accessibility and inclusion are simply part of everyday life.
But when students are separated, it creates lifelong divides. Young people with disability are denied opportunities to thrive, and society misses out on their ideas, innovation, and creativity.
These videos were created as part of the Inclusive School Communities project, which worked with South Australian schools to promote inclusion.
