The 2023-24 State Budget presents the South Australian Government with a significant opportunity to make a real difference in ensuring that South Australians living with disability get a fair go at what life has to offer. To assist in compiling the next Budget, we have identified a list of priority areas for state investment.
Our priority areas for the 2023-24 Budget are:
- Fund an independent disability advocacy program
- Deliver accessible affordable housing solutions
- Promote access and inclusion with increased funding
- Maximise building of new Changing Places facilities
- Invest in health to break down access barriers
- Commit to inclusive education approaches in all schools
- Transition state’s taxi fleet to fully accessible vehicles
- Reinstate funded Communication Partners services
