Children, parents and caregivers, young people and young adults with disability have the right to feel safe, supported and included. We work with people to share stories, raise issues and push for change. We also support peer networks that connect young people with disability, and parents to build confidence and grow in skills and leadership. Families need clear information and support to navigate family systems and advocate effectively. Together, we advocate for inclusive services and policies that equally include people with disability, determine rights and support families to thrive.

Working with young people, families, and carers

Building capacity, autonomy, and connection

At JFA Purple Orange, we work with people of all ages to support inclusion and participation in everyday life. This includes engaging directly with children, young people, families, and carers across many of our projects and advocacy work.

We:

Everything we do is shaped by the knowledge that people with disability are experts in their own lives — and that inclusion starts with listening, learning, and acting together.
