Summary

The 2023-24 State Budget presents the South Australian Government with a significant opportunity to make a real difference in ensuring that South Australians living with disability get a fair go at what life has to offer. To assist in compiling the next Budget, we have identified a list of priority areas for state investment.

Our priority areas for the 2023-24 Budget are: 

1. Fund an independent disability advocacy program 
2. Deliver accessible affordable housing solutions  
3. Promote access and inclusion with increased funding  
4. Maximise building of new Changing Places facilities 
5. Invest in health to break down access barriers  
6. Commit to inclusive education approaches in all schools  
7. Transition state’s taxi fleet to fully accessible vehicles
8. Reinstate funded Communication Partners services
