Accessible Events

We offer training designed to raise accessibility and inclusion at events and in venues.

 

Training details 

• 3-hours training  

• Delivered online or face-to-face (COVID-19 allowing) 

• Created by people living with disability in metro and regional areas 

• Delivered by Trainers with lived experience and first-hand knowledge  

• Explores the different parts of accessibility and inclusion, with examples of how to apply these principles to venues and events of different kinds 

• Includes an introduction to disability history, language considerations, and the benefits of accessibility and inclusion for the whole community 

• Includes take-home resources to kick start attendee accessibility planning - inclusive interactions, businesses with accessible products, grant opportunities, content creators and an Accessible Events basics guide

 

Come away with first-hand accounts of inclusion and skills in recognising and removing barriers to accessibility and inclusion.

The result is more inclusive communities for everyone.
