Who are the workshops for?
These workshops are for people living with disability, their family members and their supporters, who are interested in the steps and opportunities for taking charge in their lives.
They have been co-designed by people living with disability for people living with disability.
SKILL now has Country Connectors running Peer Networks in Mount Gambier, Mount Barker, Berri, Nuriootpa, Kadina and Whyalla. Get in touch with Andrew Gibson on andrewg@purpleorange.org.au or 0413 854 863 to find out who your local SKILL Connector is.
Why should you come to a SKILL workshop?
There are many things to gain from attending a SKILL workshop - from learning about the NDIS, to peer support, to meeting other people with a lived experience of disability.
People can also complete the SKILL workshop topics at their own pace on the SKILL website.
In the video below, SKILL workshop participants Julie, Mel, Jane and Geoff share their experience of the SKILL workshops.
